Sessions

Our "Starting Solids Sessions" empower parents and caregivers with clear, practical guidance amidst the overwhelming information on the variety of techniques for starting solids, which foods to start with, and when to start solids. As speech pathologists specializing in feeding therapy and parents ourselves, our starting solids sessions:

  • Provide structured approaches to transition babies to solid foods.

  • Simplify the often conflicting advice found on social media.

  • Offer confidence in creating a personalized plan tailored to your child's developmental stage and needs, as well as your family's goals.

These sessions can be:

  • Provided in your home (based on location) with your child present.

  • Conducted virtually as an information session for you (and any caregivers you would like present).

We've created these sessions to feel informal, like FaceTiming with a friend. However, with our structured, evidence-based approach, you will walk away with a clear plan for each step of the starting solids process.

With our clinical experience of feeding hundreds of children with feeding difficulties, we understand how different methods of starting solids affect children as they grow and develop.

We can help you get there!

Our sessions are adaptable for individuals or groups, including new moms/new dads groups.

Sessions are offered both in-person and virtually.

What Our Clients Say

Healthy Food

Erica, mother of 9-month old daughter

"When my daughter was born, feeding was very overwhelming. After moving to formula because I didn't produce breastmilk I thought our feeding journey would become simpler -- but I was wrong. My daughter struggled with reflux and would fight and cry when she was drinking from the bottle constantly. It took a long time, and luckily with the help of Jenna we were able to try some tricks that would calm her stress while feeding. When it came time to start solids, I was overwhelmed that it would just be another battle and struggle to face. However, I was completely wrong! Armed with all the information and tools I needed from Jenna - we started exploring the world of foods and to our surprise she loved it! It was so relieving to be having fun with food and show my daughter how enjoyable and fun it could be to eat! There is a lot of feeding content on social media these days that can make you feel like you're doing it wrong. But Jenna was able to articulate the mechanics of feeding in a very simple way which made me confident in the progression of skills a baby had to learn to be able to safely eat solids and thus the plan I put in place. Jenna is an invaluable resource!"
