Feeding & Swallowing Therapy

Treatment sessions are aimed to guide your child through specific therapy techniques aimed at addressing any oral motor, feeding, and/or swallowing difficulties identified during the assessment.

Our approach integrates a diverse range of therapeutic methodologies that are centered around your child's needs and your family's dynamics.

Central to our practice is a child-centered, family-focused philosophy that supports gentle, non-coercive methods. We prioritize play-based techniques that promote skill generalization beyond therapy sessions and encourage consistent progress over time.

Our team is trained in a wide range of therapeutic modalities to support feeding and swallowing progress, including Beckman Oral Motor, Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Talk Tools', Neuromuscual Electrical Stimulation (NMES), Kinesiology Taping, the AEIOU Approach to Feeding, and Food Chaining. We also have completed continuing education and training on topics including ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Feeding Intake Disorder), lactation/breastfeeding, Tethered Oral Tissues (i.e. tongue tie, lip tie), and many more. Drawing on our extensive training and years of experience working with hundreds of children with feeding difficulties, we craft an individualized treatment plan that addresses your child's unique needs.

Anna, mom of a three year old daughter

"A few months after I had my son, my three year old daughter went through a major eating regression. She completely stopped eating solids. At first we thought she had a traumatic event during a meal, but after seeing Stephanie, we learned that she was actually going through an eating regression. Stephanie worked with my daughter a few times weekly and built an amazing relationship with her. My daughter had complete trust in Stephanie and looked forward to her sessions. Stephanie worked with my daughter for five weeks, building her eating skills and confidence to eat solids again. My daughter showed progress after each session and finally started eating solids again! When I didn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, Stephanie was there to talk me through the process and the support me as well. Stephanie is the most patient and caring therapist I have ever worked with and she is the sole reason my daughter is back to eating solids again. I cannot express my gratitude enough for Stephanie and am so extremely happy that we found her!"
