Jenna Friedman, MS CCC-SLP, is a Speech-Language Pathologist with over a decade of experience transforming the lives of children facing feeding, speech, and language challenges. In addition to her clinical work, Jenna serves as an expert witness in speech pathology, providing professional clinical expertise and testimony in court hearings.

Jenna’s sessions are designed to be fun and engaging, focusing on each child's interests and desires. You can often find her playing on the floor, incorporating movement, music, and play into her therapy sessions. Her goal is to make the hard work of therapy enjoyable and motivating for children.

Jenna’s evaluation process is both comprehensive and insightful. She goes beyond traditional developmental norm checklists and standardized scores to truly understand each child's unique needs. Her extensive experience as a diagnostician allows her to provide a holistic view of each child’s situation, ensuring that her interventions are precise and impactful​

Jenna has extensive experience working with children of all abilities including;

  • difficulties with eating or swallowing challenges

  • various developmental disorders and genetic disorders

  • history of prematurity

  • mild to severe medical complexities

  • motor-based speech disorders, including apraxia and dysarthria

  • phonological disorders

  • articulation difficulties

  • expressive/receptive language delays

Jenna's feeding therapy expertise includes

  • oral motor assessment and treatment

  • treating difficulties transitioning to solids

  • tube weaning

  • addressing picky eating

  • assisting children with Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)

Jenna is trained in various therapy modalities, such as PROMPT, DTTC, DIR/Floortime, SOS Approach to Feeding, TalkTools, and Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES), among others.

Jenna has experience working in preschools, private practices, Early Intervention programs, sensory gyms, and home-based care. Her focus areas include feeding therapy, oral motor speech-based disorders, early language development, and the development of play.

Jenna completed her undergraduate degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Boston University and earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Boston University as well. Her commitment to professional development is evidenced by multiple ACE awards for continuing education by the American Speech and Hearing Association and her recognition as one of NJ's Favorite Kids Doctors in Speech-Language Pathology.

Jenna’s approach is comprehensive and child-centered. She builds strong, positive relationships with her clients and their families, drawing on her empathetic nature, professional expertise, and personal experience as a mother.
